About Me

  • About Me: I am a survivor of child abuse. I am still healing and part of that journey will be this blog. I wish to join in the effort to stop child abuse and offer my story as a healing to all who share this pain. My abuse was physical, emotional and mental. It is my opinion that currently accepted methods of child rearing are really child abuse and society does not recognize this because we have been taught to honor our parents even as they are our tormentors. In my experience, expressing negative feelings about your parents, especially your mother is extremely taboo in American culture.   • Favorite Cuisine: Anything organic and fresh. I love The Fresh Market and Whole Foods. I am not a vegetarian but I am quite picky when it comes to eating meat, I find I eat it less as I age. I love veggies. Asian food is my favorite: lots of veg and just a little meat. I avoid any food containing preservatives, chemicals, growth hormones or antibiotics.
